Home > Wherwell Circular Walk
This is an easy walk of 4 miles offering a further 1.5 miles skirting Harewood Forest. The route takes you in and around the pretty village of Wherwell and crosses the River Test and its water meadows. It offers good views of the radio telescope in the middle of what was a 2nd World War airfield. The walk is mostly on footpaths and tracks and includes a stretch on the road initially.
From Andover: Take the A3057 towards Stockbridge, after approximately 2 miles turn left onto Winchester Road, B3420 signposted Wherwell. Follow this road for approximately 1.5 miles to arrive in the village of Wherwell.
Andover is the nearest railway station. Check for buses with Andover Tourist Information Centre, 01264 324320.
