Hampshire offers cyclists of all ages and abilities a choice as wide and welcoming as its stunning scenery. You can explore for an hour or a week. Discover the feel good factor on soaring downland and meandering riversides with birdsong as your backing track.

Summer of Cycling is the first ever Cycle Hampshire event where you will find the best cycling events taking place across Hampshire over the summer.

15 Test Valley Tour cycle routes have been designed to take you deep into the countryside away from the traffic and crowds. Following safe, tried and tested routes you'll discover wooded hills, quiet leafy lanes and tranquil views on a variety of trails.

If you prefer to cycle with others then the Test Valley Tour events maybe for you. Four cycling events are held throughout the year, two on road and two off road. There are marked circular routes with a choice of distances and they are non-competitive so you can take in the picturesque villages and quiet country tracks along the way. The great advantage is that there is back-up in case you have a problem.

Hampshire County Council has developed a cycle route which uses quiet country lanes to explore East Hampshire's area of outstanding natural beauty, including rolling hills, peaceful woodland, charming villages and sunken lanes which are a feature of the area. The 22 mile circuit starts and finishes in the market town of Petersfield. Parts of it are hilly so be prepared for some steep climbs but the route aims to use the quietest roads in the area.

Basingstoke provides a vast range of cycling routes, helping you travel faster and healthier across the Borough. A network of routes connects the city centre with Reading, Alton and New Alresford. Why not download one of our free maps, and plan an active day admiring Hampshire's Countryside?
