The Andover Golf Club is a Members' Club with 365 men, 46 ladies and 50 juniors. Established in 1907, it is a 9 hole parkland course situated in Winchester Road just half a mile south of Andover town centre. The course is 6096 yards with splendid views of the undulating Hampshire countryside. The signature hole is the par 3 ninth 225 yards long with the tee situated on top of the hill, and the green 100 feet below.
The chalk base allows the course to be free draining, and it is rarely closed even in the most adverse weather conditions. Golf trolleys can be used throughout the year.
The clubhouse has well appointed locker rooms, a bar and full catering facilities open all day.
Derrick Lawrence, a fully qualified PGA professional is attached to the Club. He offers a well stocked shop and a full club repair service. Individual lessons cost £14 for half an hour and a series of 6 cost £72. Special rates are available for Juniors.
