The Lights, Andover's brand new professional arts and entertainment venue opened in October 2006 and is rapidly becoming the hub of creative activity for Andover and the north west of Hampshire.
The venue features a 242 seat raked auditorium, a large arena hall, a conference room, a sprung floor dance studio and a workshop studio. These areas are complemented by a stylish bar and cafe area which leads outside onto a canopied decking area overlooking attractive landscaped gardens featuring a stunning piece of public art, The Light Tree.
In it's first season The Lights presented a range of professional acts including such names as Jackie Dankworth, Ed Byrne, Ralph McTell, The Vagina Monologues, Mark Thomas, Tommy Emmanuel and The Ballet Russe. Creative classes are also offered for all ages and abilities including the Ignite Youth Theatre and belly dancing.
The Lights is available for corporate and private hire and has become a popular venue for exhibitions, conferences, lectures and training workshops.
