There are a number of motor racing events each year at Thruxton, near Andover, organised by the British Automobile Racing Club.

At the end of July the skies above Basingstoke will fill with hot air balloons of all sizes at the annual Balloons over Basingstoke festival.

Aldershot Army Show, organised in partnership by the Army and Rushmoor Borough Council, attracts 60,000 visitors to the area, with spectacular arena displays, exhibitors and trader, as well as a grand displays of military vehicles and equipment.

The biennial Farnborough International Airshow will be back next year with some exhilarating air displays from 19 to 25 July 2010.

Arts & Entertainment Venues

The Anvil Trust manages three of Hampshire's finest arts and entertainment venues, The Anvil, The Haymarket and The Firge. With a wide-ranging programme of theatre, music, dance and comedy, there have never been more opportunities for great nights out in Basingstoke.

Broadlands in Romsey is a well known venue for some of the biggest names in pop as well as the home of the Romsey Show and an impressive Christmas craft market.

The Lights in Andover has a year round programme of professional shows and creative classes.

The Princes Hall is a multi purpose entertainment centre located in the heart of Aldershot.
