2008 marks a double anniversary celebration in the UK aviation calendar.
is celebrating its diamond anniversary, marking 60 successful years at the Farnborough Aerodrome. Bigger then ever, the Airshow will take place 14-20 July.
It is also 100 years since Samuel Franklin Cody made the first successful sustained, powered flight in the UK from Farnborough Airfield on 16 October 1908.
In recognition of this important event, the Farnborough Air Science Trust has built a full size replica of British Army Aircraft Number 1A in which Cody flew. This aircraft will be displayed for the very first time during the Farnborough International Airshow
