Queen Elizabeth Country Park near Petersfield has 1,400 acres of open access downland and woodland ready to explore, and the views from Butser Hill are well worth the climb!
There are a number of maps and leaflets available for short and circular walks in Hampshire which you can download for free, including St Mary Bourne located in the North Hampshire Downs. These routes take you into the heart of Hampshire's towns and villages, exploring those hidden treasures you may otherwise miss.
Alternatively, our long distance walks are divided into sections, each providing a varied day out with suggested pubs and attractions to visit en-route.
The Blackwater Valley is maintained as an open space along the borders of Berkshire, Hampshire and Surrey. It runs for approximately 30 km, from the source of the River Blackwater at Rowhill Nature Reserve near Aldershot in the south, northwards to Swallowfield where the river joins the River Whitewater and then the Loddon.
Blackwater Valley Path is a 23-mile
long-distance walking path following the River Blackwater from Rowhill Nature Reserve to Swallowfield.
There are 12 shorter circular walks in and around the BlackWater Valley, all of which include part of the Blackwater Valley Path. Some of the paths are suitable for the whole family!
